I'm putting together a new box, 900 TBird, ASUS A7V, IBM Deskstar 45GB Master w/ Maxtor 20GB slave.

Both hard drives are on ATA-100 ribbon.

BIOS recognizes the Maxtor as slave but WinBlows doesn't show the drive as existing. I reserved the E & F drives for me DVD and CD-RW but that didn't help.

Any help appreciated!

Also, anyone know how to "unreserve" the E & F drives?

You probably already checked this, but do you have one hard drive set as master and one set as slave with the jumpers? Also, have you tried to put one hard drive on the primary ata 100 channel and one on the Secondary Channel?
 
Yea, my jumpers are OK.

I forgot to mention, I can see the both hard drives in Device Manager but only the C: drive appears in "My Computer" explore.

This is very frustrating!
