Help, Win98 crashing during install!

Hi all,

I flashed my motherboard the other day (MSI 6337 815E Pro). Then windows didn't boot up anymore. (VCOMM unable to initialize) So i tried to reinstall windows on top of my old one. Now when i do that it gets to the building device driver database , then when detecting Plug&Play devices it crashes to a fatal exception OE at various locations like 0028:C156EB35. The bios works I can enter the bios and make all the setting changes. Help me please
 
Reinstalling Windows on top of itself usually doesn't fix anything; it can make problems worse. Did you try reformatting yet?
 
Nope i don't have a spare Harddrive lying around.

Tomorrow morning i will be getting one though.. I'll keep you posted
