HELP: Will K8t800Pro or Nforce 250 work better with ATI 9600 ?

I currently have a old Gigabyte via based motherboard and am hitting the famed VIA-ATI 9600 card incompatibility issues. Am forced to upgrade just because of this !:disgust:

Im considering the Athlon 64 3000+ while the motherboard is a toss up between Asus K8N-E (754pin) and the Asus A8v Deluxe with WI-FI (939pin).

Even thought Im inclined towards the A8v, Im very worried that I will hit the VIA issues again with my Xtasy 9600 256MB Radeon. Does anyone know whether the VIA-ATI problem are solved with the K8t800Pro or should I play it safe and go for the ASUS K8N-E Deluxe with a nforce 250 chipset ?

Please guys,😕 I need help on this as there is no way to return stuff after you buy them in my country. Cannot afford to spend money on two MB's !

My Soltek K8Tpro isn't liking my 9800pro. I just ordered a $152 after rebate Leadtek 6600gt and I'm selling my 9800pro.

Thanks. Is it atleast guaranteed that the 9600 will work well with a nForce 250 based chipset? Or is that also unknown till we actually try.

If I was going to do it over again, I'd definately go with an nforce3 chipset. I wanted to try out a Soltek board though... 🙁
