Help: which one to upgrade?

Hi, I have a celery 300A OC to 450 on an Asus P2B running with a 8MB Vanta. I want to play Diablo2 and it is pretty sluggish, so I want to know if I should upgrade the video card or the CPU/motherboard. Any suggestion? I don't want to buy a new PSU, and would prefer to keep my motherboard instead of replacing.

I would upgrade the video card, but don't get anything better than a TNT2 since the cpu will limit the performance anyway. I have a machine with a celeron 300@450, a 16MB TNT, 196MB of RAM.... it 'runs' D2, but when there is a lot of characters/monsters on the screen or when someone starts casting spells it chokes quite badly

I agree with tomek...maybe pick up a voodoo 3 or greater card...otherwise don't spend a lot of money either way as you will eventually need a cpu boost then you will be once again bogging system with slow video card...

As everyone else has said, get an older generation video card. I used to run Diablo II on a P2 350 with a G400 MAX 32Mb and it ran pretty well.
