HELP... What's wrong with NVIDIA drivers??

Please help me here. I have a little problem. I'm using Win 2k and have therefore downloaded and installed the NVIDIA drivers from their website. But after I did that my gaming performance, I have only played Counter-Strike since then, is much worse than it used to be. Before I used to have around 100 fps and now it's around 70. I know that 30 fps doesn't matter that much, but it's not only the fps' that are bad, also the quality of the graphic is much worse than it used to be. I don't know what drivers I used to have installed so no help there.

btw, my video card is a Winfast GeForce 2 Ultra

Thanks Sharpe

What version drivers? Did you uninstall the previous ones completely? What version of DirectX? Did you reinstall DirectX after the video drivers? Did you check the driver settings to make sure that they were the same as before so that the benchmarks are comparable? Maybe you have antialiasing cranked up where you didn't before. You could try installing the latest Leadtek drivers and see what your results are.

Good luck.

Well I've actually fixed it myself. Apparantely I had downloaded the WHQL version of the 12.41 version, not that it says anything about that is shouldn't work on the website, so I tried to download the non-WHQL version, and woula everything worked just fine again.

Thanks for the help anyways.
