What is this? http://gyazo.com/ec5345c1701be40220bb6f254881f21a

I'm trying to open this video http://gyazo.com/03438f8ab8c30d3ed305a5b645ba90a2 open as 'Video' but I can't find 'video' anywhere? The first pic is fine, but for my other videos, I can't open as 'video'. I can't find it in the 'more options'. Can someone help me please? I can't open any movies now because of that. Also, please don't tell me to open as VLC and movie maker.. I need 'video' to drag the files to my editing program. 🙁

I hope I'm not confusing you. 🙁

Video is part of the Windows Media Player, but it's embedded in the touch-screen portion of Windows 8. It's not a standalone player.

Those are different video file types. The first is an MP4, and the second is an MKV (thanks google). The "Video" program is one of several video players for MP4, and the easiest way to find out exactly what it is, is to open any MP4 video. You'll then know what program it is. Use that program's "Open file" dialog to open the MKV file.

If that video player will play MKV files and you want to make it the default player, right-click an MKV file and choose "Open with" > "Choose default program...". Check the box "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", choose the program from the available list or from the "Other Programs" drop-down list below, and click OK.
