HELP!what is the problem of outlook?

when I open outlook, it says "outlook has encoutered a problem and needs to close". But I did nothing wrong with it. I just wrote some contacts before this problem happened.

had that problem once, but mine was related to a ActiveX control in a html email that i had got while outlook was open (but did not try to view it so i did not have any problems until next time i opened outlook since it was the latest mail and such activily displayed). assuming you have a similiar problem try to change the security settings in internet explorer to the highest since outlook uses IE's security settings .. might allow you to open outlook again

I never use outlook to check email. So it's wired to have such problem

agreed, odd ... did you recently upgrade or download your OE or IE (since OE may change when you install a new IE depending on the IE version and your OS)?

Trying installing the latest service pack for your version of Outlook. If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall Office or Outlook.

I tried all the ways you suggested(downloaded the upgrade package, chage the security level of IE...), but it seems they are not helpful.
I'm using Microsoft XP2000 professional. Is this information useful for you to help me?
