Error picture <-- click to see error message

Either that error message happens, or my explorer.exe crashes every single time i go into the temp internet files directory if there are files in there. I cleared em out, went to a few pages and then went into the folder and i crashed. What might be causing this? I tried different ram sticks already, did a scandisk on my drive and such. I unoverclocked my system just to make suer that wasnt the case as well.

PLEASE HELP! 🙁

Hmmm, you've tried all the right moves in diagnosing this problem to no avail. Bummer. Try a newer version of IE if there is one. (but you probably are already using it.)

right click on your IE icon, go to your temporary internet files>settings and try moving the folder to another location (c:\temp for instance) then reboot and delete your old folder. If that works you should be able to move it back to the old location using the same method. If that don't work, try to rerun the IE setup and pick the repair option.

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.

Did this solution work? Please let us know -- I haven't downloaded any Win2K service packs, and want to find out if I need to...

Thanks! 🙂
