Everytime I try to save a new server or my server name it tells me it can write to the INI file. I don't know what to do... I've tried to reinstall vent and repair it and everything. I've also looked in my vent folder for an INI file but don't find anything.

Did you try uninstalling Vent then deleting the Vent folder in C:\Documents and Settings\*Username*\Application Data?
Im not a vent master, but there is a ventrilo2.ini file in there which seems to hold all of the settings.
