alright.. something weird is goin on w/ my cs... i dunno what caused it either.. it was fine yesterday and its not today... the problem is.. when i play now, it is constantly freezing for a split second.. like the sound breaks up and everybody stops moving.. and it happens constantly, in a pattern.. like every 2 secs or so. then for a split second it freezes up and its really gettin me mad...

i dunno what could be causing this, but the only things that ive changed since yesterday are that i installed AutoCAD and installed a Serial Port 100MB Zip Drive.. when the problem first happened for a bit i decided to reinstall halflife, sierra, and cs.. i did that hoping to get rid of the problem but that didnt do it

im runnin win2k sp2, nvidia geforce 2 pro gts w/ a PIII, 1ghz, 512 mb of RAM... anybody got any idea what the problem could be?? I got the latest drivers for the video card from nvidia's site also, and that didnt fix it... so, i dunno what else to do.. i dunno much about fps and all that stuff, so that could easily be it, and i wouldnt have a clue...

Does this happen to every server you connect to?

It sounds kinda like a connection problem to me...

try the game in lan game mode, just make a game urself and run around for few minutes...
if its fine then most likely it is some kind of connection problem.
otherwise ill look into that zip drive, it might be checking it every2 seconds... uninstall it completely (including the software for it) and see what happens.

might be a connection problem (when some of the servers get too many people that happens) or.... like mustang said, the zip drive. check the zip-first and see what you find. 😀
