Help W/ A8N-SLI Premium

I can't get my system stable! The system randomly shuts itself off with no warning or errors. I have tried auto settings in bios and the following:

Any suggestions? Sometimes the system will run for a few hours and sometimes it will only stay up for a few minutes.

According to AntecCSR's recent post, there is an issue between the rev. 1.01 A8N-SLI Premium and the Antec NeoHEs. AntecCSR said that Asus's suggested approach is to update to the latest beta BIOS and connect the EZ Plug, and if that does not resolve it, then Asus wants you to RMA the motherboard for a 1.02.

Its a new board and is a revision 1.02.

k, is your EZ Plug hooked up? The 4-pin power receptacle just above the upper PCIe x16 slot.

Yes, I have tried it with and with out the ez plug connected. Without it connected, the shut downs were much more frequent.

Next questions:

1) you have a power cable connecting your PSU to your video card, right? The PCI-Express one.

2) is the end of the PCIe power cable that is marked with "PCI-E" connected to the video card, rather than the other way around? Yes = good, no = bad.

3) Using this picture from SilentPCReview.com, have your motherboard's ATX12V cable and your PCI-Express power cable on opposite sides of that red line, if you don't already.

4) On your setup, the ATX12V cable is actually a two-headed one, and one of the two four-prong plugs has a label saying it's the one to use on mobos that only use four pins on the ATX12V receptacle (which is basically everything except dual-processor boards), so make sure that's the half that you plugged into your mobo's ATX12V receptacle. Page 4 of the NeoHE manual talks about this, if you need a reference with photos.

You're welcome, I just hope there's a happy ending! It would be no fun to have to buy a different PSU of that caliber just to test whether it's a PSU issue.

The ATX12V on the neohe is hardwired to the right of the red line, along with the 24 pin power connector. I'm assuming this means that the PCI-E is required to be in one of the two slots to the left of the red line?

Oh, ok. The red line is the apparent split between the #1 and #3 12-volt sources, so I was thinking to make sure the load was spread out, but it all makes sense now: it's already spread out.

What I would do next, if it were me, is email Antec's technical support. I'm assuming your heatsink is getting good contact with the CPU and all that stuff.

Yeah, I haven't seen the CPU temp go above 36 degrees

Well, I tried switching some of my wires around. I tried to put all of my fans on one connector and my raptors and 2 case leds on another. I also placed the pci-e connector on a seperate rail. My system will no longer boot up. It has posted a couple of times and then shuts down. I originally had everything on the 3 prong rail, and was able to get the system running for a couple hours at a time. I'm guessing this has narrowed the problem down to being a power problem. I thought it could have been a compatability issue with the memory and board, but now I think the biggest problem is not enough power.
