Help! VAIO Trackpad dead?

I just bought a Sony Vaio PCG FX210 laptop for $200 but it looks like the trackpad is dead. I installed w2k on it and posting right now from the laptop using a usb mouse. I read that some sony laptops have certain problems with win2k, I'm gonna borrow a buddies xp cd and see if that might fix the problem. If thats not it where could I look into replacing the trackpad on this thing?
