Any time that I use IE for an extended period of time, let's say 20-30 min, my computer will get a BSOD. This happens every time. Something like process has locked pages or something along those lines. Sometimes explorer will crash too when using IE. I've been using Netscape for the past few days and my computer has been rock solid. I'm running WinXP.

What is causing this problem and how can I fix it? Much help is appreciated. I hate using Netscape :(

Dang, I hate problems like this. How long ago was it that you formatted? I don't have a clue on where to start?

Hmm I haven't formatted for about a year, but I'd rather not format at this point.

My only thought is... do a diagnostic startup. I think it can reached through system information. Uncheck everything under "startup". See if you can get IE to run stable. Then start re-checking stuff until she dies again.

Well you could choose an arguably better browser

I'm not saying Mozilla trumps IE6 in all categories, but to me and others, it does in many important categories.

Look for a process thats causing a memory leak. Why is it everybody thinks the solution is to format?
