Does anyone use this combo of software/hardware? Ghost is having a problem detecting the burner and I wonder if I need to add a file to the boot disk.
Any help or comments greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I have no problem with them. Just creat a bootdisk with Ghost utility (Windows) and boot it up and the u'll see the supported CDRW with Ghost.

DOS mode CDROM drivers aren't needed for Ghost to recognize the CDRW drive. What u need is a pure PC/MS-DOS startup disk.

Hope this help. :)

AHFUNG:
I get as far as chosing the destination for the image to be copied to but after I choose the burner and name the file the error message is "dump folder not found".

I assume this is because it is not finding the drive. Ghost has a list of my drive names but the burner is not listed amoung them.
Any other insights you may have will be appreciated.
Thanks for your response.

Have you let BIOS auto-detect the burner? If it doesn't the burner might not be recognized by Ghost.

Here is Liteon's answer to Ghost or Drive Image backup software support:

"I think apart from the NERO Backup function we do not support any other backup
software. You might ask the manufacturer of Ghost or Powerquest for a driver
update or something like that...

Bye
Christian"

It's looking that this burner is not for me for the following reasons:
1. I use W2k as my o/s.
2. Multiple partition cloning
3. Packet writing with portability for use on other cdroms
4. Reading cd's from other cdrw created cd's.

The LiteOn 1601b that I have has problems with all the above, which my Sony 145e did not.
