Help! USB trouble

I just bought a Lexar JumpDrive which was on sale this week. It says on the packaging that it doesn't need drivers to use it. When I plug it in, Win XP says: Unknown Device found. I can't figure out how to fix it. I tried the drive on my laptop and another desktop and it worked fine on both of them, but it won't work on my main computer. I'm running Win XP, I have a USB 1.1 port, and an ECS KT266 motherboard. I'm not sure if I've ever used a USB device on this computer before or not. I have tried it with the USB IRQs in BIOS turned on and off; it wont work either way. Please help.

That board has one of the worst southbridges in the world esp. the USB implementation. Okay, that's not true, some older VIA chipsets were worse. Have you tried updating your 4in1s?
