Hey guys,

It seems I have run into a very annoying problem. I have an external 120GB Acomdata Rocketpod which I connect to my system via USB2.0. It has worked perfectly ever since I got it last year. However, I decided I wanted to do a clean install of Windows XP. So I reformat my internal drive, install a fresh new copy of Windows XP with SP2. I plug my Rocketpod into my system, and all of a sudden it says that Windows cannot recognize the USB device. I thought it was the Rocketpod at first, so I plugged it into the two other systems I have, and it worked fine. In fact, one of the computers is also running the same copy of Windows XP wth SP2 and it detects the external mass storage device.

I tried a few things to fix the problem on my system, but to no avail. I updated my nforce2 chipset drivers (still doesn't work). And I've also tried reinstalling Windows XP (also doesn't work). I can't find any useful information from the Microsoft website. I am stuck. I don't know what to do. It was once working on it with Windows XP and SP1. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks guys.

PS: USB2.0 is installed on my system and the hard drive is listed as "Unknown Device" under the USB section.
