Never bought from ReturnBuy.com and most likely never will unless your ResellerRatings.com is positive or I fall off a turnip truck tomorrow.

first off, your name sucks. ReturnBuy? sounds like a scam in the works. I guess the layout isn't too shady, but the name *shudders*

Secondly, the site design is pretty bland. I dunno. I think like many people on this forum I have a loyalty to Newegg and Mwave. They are probably the best retailers on the net and I don't mind paying a little more there because I know they deliver what was promised.

what made you trust sites like newegg and mwave to begin with? remember at 1 point, they were just like us - a new guy on the block.

Newegg never sold stuff on eBay... there's a lot of negative feelings attached to bad sellers there.
Newegg sells new stuff, and they will fix your order until you get them right. You, on the other hand, do not sell new stuff and have bad warrenty.
Which leads me to my next point... if you want to sell used or "Like-new" (meaning NOT new) stuff, you gotta make you prices significantly lower than new stuff.

I was looking through your car stereo stuff (I need a headunit) and they're not that cheap... I would rather go to Bestbuy just to hold that precious receipt in my hands knowing I can always go and exchange it if it didn't work and I most likely don't have to pay shipping to send it back.

Well, I decided to check out the site and give you some constructive feedback. I first heard of RB on Ebay.

1. Get BizRate and BBB certified and put those tags on your site. I don't buy from any site that doesn't have some kind of certification like that. I don't buy from many that do, but definitly none that don't.

2. I probably won't ever go back because of the extremely limited selection. Price and service are great, but if you have no selection, then there's no point for the average consumer to check your site on the minute change that what they're looking for may be there. In your kind of business I don't even know if that's possible.

i would call that a pretty bad rating. 1000 customer ratings and you have had over 20% negative . Look at newegg, they have over 25000 customer ratings and only 2% negative.

Not sure what you're trying to accomplish with this other than to gain visibility. RB will always be a glorified eBay powerseller, with little leverage as an independent site. Because the merchandise you offer is of varying quality, it's most appropriate for you to stay where you were born- eBay.

Having said that the "new" returnbuy is doing worse than ever, with your negative rating going from 10% to 21% in the past weeks. Looks like your restructuring is effecting your customer satisfaction.

i've seen you guys on eBay.

if you want to be better, just offer good products at a good price. and always treat your customers well. word of mouth spreads fast on the internet, good or bad.

simple, eh? ;)

I appreciate everyone's feedback, and please keep it coming. My point here is not to try to convince all of you why I think our business model is far more outstanding then other retailers - it is to find out the impression of a relatively well-informed internet shopping group. Obviously our site leaves room for improvement.

At this point I realize that there are significant brand/trust issues. I would REALLY appreciate it if you would spend 2 minutes (literally) just 2 minutes clicking around the site and telling me what doesn't make sense and what does. Where were you thinking "i really dont like that" or "ooh that's good!" ?

This is not a play for visibilty. It's unfortunate that someone would think of it that way, rather than realize the opportunity to have a voice with a company that's trying to listen.

When this is done I'll explain some of the points that have come up in this forum.

It's a ploy for visibility and an opportunity for you to leverage market research free of charge.

Make a link from your checkout process and ask those that are actually involved with you these questions. People here are more technical and aren't necessarily representative of the people that would use your site.

Green is a terrible color to pick as primary for a website. I'd recommend you do some revamping of your website and give it a cleaner design.
