I have had a wonderful Maxtor 40gb drive that has served faithfully for many years as my c drive, but would like to reduce the noise by replacing it with a brand new 200gb maxtor i have now. I dont, however, want to reinstall my entire os and all my programs. what i would like to do is somehow mirror the drive onto the 200gb, and then boot it up as c, and then eliminate the old 40gb. does anyone know about how to go about this, seen any tutorials, or can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks a ton!

edit: winxp professional, sorry i forgot to mention

Ghost 2003 will do what you want, but there is another potential problem.
You need to make sure your motherboard has drivers that enable 48 bit ide addressing so you can see the whole drive. You also need to have service pack 1 installed so XP can see the entire drive.

thanks. i dont think seeing the whole drive will be a problem once i connect it to the ata 133 card. ghost seems to be the way to go here. thanks for the tips!
