Your score is just about right, for that system. You do know that 3dMark is a video card benchmark, not a processor benchmark, don't you? Your video card is the weak link in that system.

Well, it's not like your videocard sucks, but if you throw in a 8800gts 320mb or higher, your score will go up into the 10k region.

No system with a single 7950GT will ever hit 10000 3DMarks06. 8800GTS - maybe... if OC'd.

With 2 of them in SLI - maybe 8000.

I am perfectly satisfied with my 512MB 7950GT SC, scoring 5800 - 5900.

If you can't play your games with the satisfactory frame rates, get 8800GTS 640MB or GTX.

But you are probably referring to 3DMark05 - my score is about 10500.

I have 2x 7950GT KOSC 512MB Video cards in SLI and I got 10k w/ my old E6400@ 3.333GHz.

Yup, you're right. Just checked the Futuremark ORB. Left is my single at stock 600 GPU/725 Mem, right is E6700 at 3.495GHz FSB 348MHz with 2x 7950GT, 512MB, 702MHz Core/801MHz Memory clocks.

Main Test Results
3DMark Score (3DMarks)......5858....................11162

SM 2.0 Score (Marks)............2334.....................4986

SM 3.0 Score (Marks)............2288.....................4723

CPU Score (Marks)................2542.....................3069

Cool! I didn't know that I could bring my rig to the 8800GTX levels just by adding another Video Card!

With DX10 practically non-existent now, and the new games in a very short supply for at least another year or two, this might be the way to go.

Thanks, PCTC2!
