Help Underclock RAM in MSI K7N2g-ISLR

hi,

i have a samsung 256mb 2700 ddr ram (K4H560838C-TCB3)

i have a Xp 2000+

Bios Version 1.1

can some one tell me what settings i need to change to reduce my ram speed.

i am a bit confused by the bios . any links will also be appreciated.

You can do that by setting your RAM to 100% of your CPU's bus speed.

Why would you wanna underclock your memory with your nForce2 board? But anyway, all you'd need to do is change the FSB/DRAM ratio, which I think is default to 1:1. Change it to a lower ratio, reboot, go into your BIOS again and you'll notice the Current DRAM Clock will be lower than your CPU FSB Clock. Here's some screenshots: BIOS

thanks!

i need to underclock my ram as its really unstable at its default settings. at 333mhz i cant run any program for more than 30 mins.

hopefully this shud help

More importantly, are you using Crucial RAM? That stuff HATES the nForce2.

i had crucial . i had to RMA that. Now i have a samsung 256 mb ddr 2700 chip.
