II. Any particular preferences (Manufacturer[nV or AMD], Brand[XFX, Sapphire, EVGA, etc], Cooling Solutions)? been very happy with my ati radeon 5700 so i'd like to stick with em, but should that really concern me? i defer to the judgement of my betters

IV. Have you previously looked at a product(s) which you feel would fit your needs? looked and got confused, came here

V. What are your needs for this GPU? Which games(If any)do you intend to play? If you have this information at hand, what are the desired detail levels?
skyrim is the heaviest i play now. not too worried about graphics just as long as i can keep up with future games

VI. Do you plan on overclocking the card you intend to purchase? nope

Additional Notes I'm a bad pc owner. the card i have is good enough for me but i let the filth build up until the fan started to die. cleaned it out but it's only a matter of time. mobo is ta790gxe if that helps http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=408

That one has been fluctuating in price lately. Don't pay $240 for it.

There are several others that are available around the $200 price point. The best one available around $200 without a rebate right now is this model: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161405

Newegg.ca (Canada) has this Sapphire card for $199.99

Newegg.com is $239.99.... odd. Its usually the other way around if anything.
