Post above edited. It's 82.5 degrees in here right now.

That's absurd. Even my wife who is chronically cold, would be complaining about it being hot.

my wife who is chronically cold as well but at 82.5 she be SOOOO happy. Her mom is even worse. Of course they are from Vietnam so I think the temp is ok, 70's, but they want more heat.

When we were having AC problems last summer and it was getting up to 81 in here, I had a hard time working... it made me really drowsy.

It's going up. 83.5 now.

I think I'm on the trail of the culprit - one of the VP's was talking to me and said that the offices on the outside wall of the building were really cold. The entire outer wall of these offices is glass, so they probably just hemmorage heat.

Offer to switch cubes with someone that's on a wall and complaining about the cold.

then they'd complain about not having a window 😉

Adjust the thermostat to your liking, then smear shit (human, dog, etc.) all over the thermostat. Presto! Nobody's touchin that thing again.

Geez, that's too much, even for me. My thermostat's set to 77. Fortunately, I don't have a huge apartment, so there's not much space to heat.

You may want to invest in some thermometors for each desk. I have found that when they know the temp it seems to make them feel better.
Be sure to "recalibrate" the thermometers first, maybe by 5 degrees.😀

When my wife has one of her bouts with anemia, which make her cold, I have been known to offer to set her on fire.

there's a heat crisis at the office this morning. no one's heaters are working, they are just blowing cold air. 🙁

most people still have their coats on. i have my coat and scarf on. :Q

Damn man.

That's crazy hot.

At home the wife and I keep it at 70f year round.

I'd be miserable if it were above 75f inside.

You used up all the heat on purpose!

Ha, reminds me of the absolute zero temperature at work over the summer. People had space heaters on at their cubicles cause it was so damn cold; they overdid it, but you get the idea.

Put a box made out of automotive windshield glass over the thermostat. If it's anything like how it works in the car, they won't be able to operate it at all.

Somehow make the area around the thermostat hotter than it is, thus offsetting the temperature that it is detecting. That way to their eyes, the thermostat is at 83 when the real temperature is below.
