Well heres the deal. Im a new person to the "technical" part of computers. Only a couple of months ago, I learned how to build a new computer. My skills are slightly above the average computer user. I still do not fully understand what many of the aberviations mean, especially when video cards are discussed and it involves the depth/detail that the card can produce.

Ok to the point; I'm going to apply for my first job at my local computer store. When I went in to talk to a couple of the guys there about the job, one of them said I should read lots of reviews on this site and a couple others so that I have product knowledge because they'll give me a lttle test when I apply for the job. Although I'm pretty sure I won't get the job, it's a job experience. I want the best possible chance I can get, so if any of you experts could give me some tips orexplain how some things work that would be great.

The jobs that I'm applying for are a salesman, but I might just go with cashier.

Hmmmmmm.... All of that and no periods.

I'd go with the cashier job. I can't see them asking you any technical questions for that position.

I hope you don't talk like that. Take a breath add a period here or there.

Then, Go to anandtech.com and read a lot of the reviews.

yes but the problem is im over whelmd but alot of the stuff and i have read some reviews
its aslo funny that some of the retial there didint know what a duel cpu mother board is used for

I wouldn't find that surprising at all. I went to officemax and the chick that checked me out couldn't even count out 58 cents. She only gave me 53. I said fvck it and left. People are hired for positions even if they don't have the knowledge to do it.

If you are 15 and are half illiterate, you have bigger problems than not undertanding what a Z-Buffer is.

I don't think he's just talking about the periods. It's the grammar usage. It's as if you don't know how to form sentences correctly. It could just be because you are overwhelmed. That's why people are going to put you down. You'll see it a lot on ATOT.

If I were hiring and I read something like that, I'd think "Hmm, this guy obviously doesn't care enough to do the job right."

I am astonded that my grammer is being corrected on a forum and that people are taking thetime to do this but i will say thank you so that i can correct my grammer
