It is an Acorp AT socket 7 mobo. On it I have a p200mmx. It has an AGP port, 3PCI and 3ISA. I installed everything I wanted in the computer, and poered it up, but no luck. Then I removed all but the vid card. still nothing. I swapped vid cards, still nothing. After waiting a minute to see of anything would eventually happend, it started beeping non-stop. I went to pcguide, and looked up the beep code for the AWARD bios, and it said non-stop beeping is a memory or video problem.
So I tried a different stick of RAM, instant beeps. So I tried a different vid card, instant beeps.
I reset the CMOS, unplugged everything except the vid card, double checked all of the jumpers, everything appears to be okay...
Any more ideas out there?

Hmm....sure you have the power to the motherboard correct? The two connectors(8wire each?) should be placed so that the wires are black-black...they come form your Powersupply

Next:
Buy a new computer. Sorry dude....dunno what to say. If your SURE about the beep codes applying to that particular BIOS/Motherboard, then yer probably SOL...aka, get a new system.

Your CPU could be bad, the motherboard....do you have the case wires hooked to the front the motherboard correctly?

Sorry I couldn't be more help...

Yep power connectors are black to black.
I have removed most of the case LED's (except for the speaker, and HD LED)
I think either the bios or mobo is bunk...

Thanks all.

Is it an AGP or a PCI video card? Try the other sort if you can. Also, don't forget that AGP has a second row of contacts. More than once have I thought that an AGP card was plugged in correctly when it had only gone in halfway.

edit: Doh! misread that bit saying that it works with just the video card in. Don't mind me, I'm just dumb

edit2: Double Doh! Now I think I read it right the first time...

Not familiar with that particular mobo, but does it have slots for both DIMMs and SIMMs? If so, make sure the proper bank is selected. Some mobos with both types of memory slots require you to set a jumper selecting which type of RAM you have installed, and don't let you mix types, either.

Aside from that, like others have said,

Set up as bare a configuration as you can - just mobo, least amount of RAM (i.e., one stick only if possible), CPU, and either ISA, PCI, or AGP vid card (in order of preference). If you can, test these parts in other computers before installing them here.

Remove/reseat all components - CPU, RAM, vid card, make sure BIOS chip is firmly in socket. Be sure any jumpers/DIP switches on mobo are set correctly.

After these parts are securely installed, discharge CMOS using jumper on mobo.

Turn it on.

If it doesn't POST, remove any parts that worked in other computers, and place the rest in the trash.

If it does POST, enter the BIOS setup and load the default settings. Then turn it off, and start adding parts one at a time, making sure it POSTS after the addition of each part and associated BIOS setting changes.

Good Luck!
