Hey,
i got suspeneded from ebay after one NPB (non paying bidder). I mean wtf? dont you get 3 warning or something?
My username is halik007

edit: i was looking for a laptop and i got one. I've bid on few of them and got overbid in most of the cases, except for one. Ebay wouldnt let me retract the bid and honestly i cant afford it. I aked the seller if i can reimburse him the ebays fees and he declined. He told me he'll fill the NPB form and i was ok with it. Except now im banned after one nbp

I'm sure somewhere in ebay's policy it talks about this sort of thing.

That would be the warning.

You don't follow through on an auction without a good reason that you can prove (in a coma in the hospital or something like that) you are going to get what's coming to you. Being the winning bidder on an auction legally binds you to purchase that item. If you didn't want it in the first place then you shouldn't have bid on it.
Don't expect ebay to show you any sympathy on this. You can get away with too much on e-bay in my opinion but at least they enforce this.
My advice to you is to get a new id, and always pay for what you win from now on.

halik - if you didn't want to buy a blow-up David Hasseholf doll, then why bid on it?

Ebay's policy states that a bid is a binding contract. Therefore, you should be banned.

NPB's are annoying and make ebay worse for everyone else - good riddance.

<< still the policy says i have 3 warnings

maybe that's 3 suspensions before a complete ban

You deserve to be suspended. Why bid on something that you knew you couldn't afford in the real world?
I'm glad you were suspended.

i hate bidders like u, i get them all the time.."i bid on a couple items just like yours, and i won the other one too, and it was cheaper so i am getting it from him and not from you". u dont know how many times ive got that before. if u dont want a NPB, BID ON ONE ITEM AND ONE ITEM ONLY. it was ur fault for bidding on so many of them. And about making a new ID, ebay will not allow that and will suspend that ID too if u make a new one while u are currently suspended. just take it as a lesson learned to never bid on something u cant buy.

You should not bid when you know you won't buy it.
I hate it when it happen to me.
Right now I have two people that won my auctions and still not paying me for 1 week, I'm going to report them to ebay and have them suspended. :|

I hate to join the bandwagon but you do deserve it. If you were at a real auction you'd be SOL and in even bigger trouble if you didn't pay up.

Yes, according to the non-paying bidder rules, you get two warnings before suspension, but eBay also says:

<< Without limiting other remedies, we may immediately issue a warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide our services to you: (a) if you breach this Agreement or the documents it incorporates by reference; (b) if we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us; or (c) if we believe that your actions may cause legal liability for you, our users or us. >>

Basically, they can do what they want. Maybe they thought you were acting suspiciously by bidding all those times? I don't know why they'd ban you after one NPB, as annoying as that is for sellers. I know they're getting tougher on NPBs and I got something from them about a rule change, but I don't remember what specifically they changed.

i don't know about this ebay thing. i won a bid. i tried to contact the seller, 1 week i tried to contact him, nothing. i left 2 vm, i emailed him numerous times, i posted something on ebay. finally after i bought that same item somewhere else this seller is threatening to have me banned. he claims my email didn't work, that's hard for him to prove since ebay sent me his contact info via my email.

anyway, lotta losers on ebay, i don't think i will trade there anymore.

And these auctions were ending at the same time so that you needed to bid on both to be sure you won one? Naw...

If you had a legit reason, I would be more understanding.

Guess what, this reminds me that I need to go file a NPB report...

yep, I agree that you deserve what you got. If you knew you didn't have the money why bid? Makes no sense to me and I've been burned before by a non payer. If you came here looking for sympathy then forget it because you won't get it. You were wrong and now live with what ebay gave you.

Yup. I'm guessing you're just suspended for 1 month. 3 times and you'll be gone forever (or until you figure out how to sign up under a different email addy)

Yay, just got back 75 cents!! But I lost 30 cents, plus the time to list the auction, plus the time waiting on the high bidder, plus the time to file the forms for NPB...
