Help: Static on phone line...

For any of you telephone gurus know about static when a phone is connected to a certain jack in my house. The other jacks work fine. I replaced this jack with another wall mount and I'm getting the same static. Some help would be appreciated! :beer:
 
Your phone wiring may be bad from the jack back to the main box where you phone
comes into your house?
