Hi, I just got brand new z-540's.. and a new Soundblaster Live! value card...

Now the problem I am having, is that when i plug the green and black plugs into the back of the soundcard, and then run the speaker test.. only the front 2 speakers say Front Left and Front RIght.... when i plug the green plug into the black slot , the front 2 say Rear Left and Rear Right...

now, the 2 rear speakers work fine cause when i play music and stuff i can hear music comming out of them....

please help whats wrong?!?!

Sounds like you need to adjust your software to start using the 4 speaker setup instead of only 2 speaker,

Or adjust the fade dial

The sound card audigy is actually reversed from the little iagram that comes with it when installed in the computer... so you have to reverse the plugs. Ie, when looking at the plugs from left to right facing the audigy card front on, it should be black cord, green cord, skip two slots, and then orange cord. I had the same issue and then screwed around and now its all good.

I think that the value card is the same thing too. Or, it could just not support 5.1
