Help, should I purchase this computer?

Well www.computerbuys2000.com has alot of great Athlon computers for cheap, with very good specs.
But it says 128-BIT 3D AGP GRAPHICS ACCELERATOR SHARED MEMORY 8 to 64 ON BOARD. What does that mean , shared memory?

Sharred memory. The board uses the physical SDRAM as part of the video memory. This will of course lower the amount of RAM you have for your system's resources.

Not sure if that's a good place to buy a PC though. Are you on a budget or something?

Yeah I'm sorta on a budget, just seemed like such a good deal. But now I hear about the shared memory thing I think I'll forget about that. Tho the computer does come with 128 mb of ram...

What makes you think it's not a good place btw? Just curious.

What are you using it for? Gaming? I would stay away if that's what you're going to use it for.

Well i would'nt buy a pc just because it came with 128 megs of ram thats really cheap these days. look for something that has good sound and video card and a nice processor you can always buy some crucial ram really cheap later on and its probally the easyest thing to install.

by the way what a crappy reveiw hopefully pcboost is alright i ordered a 1.33 ghz processor from them last wendsday and still havent recieved my tracking numbers ! Hopefully it will come tommarro.

update they just packed it and sent it just got the mail !

You're not gonna get a whole lotta gamin' done on $450...I'd say save up at least a little more cash than that. What specific games are you planning on playing? I mean, if you're just into starcraft or whatever then you don't have to worry, but if you're looking into playing FPS games you're going to want a bigger system than $450 can buy...
