If it's just you and maybe a few friends that will ever use the car, two door. If you have a family, four door definitely. If you use the back seats a lot, four door. Two doors look betters than four door cars, generally.

at this point in my life i'd like a smaller car so a coupe. they look better and if i'm driving i could care less about who's in the back seat.

Sedans can have 2 doors or 4 doors, but I don't want to skew your poll. ;)

This is a stupid argument. You guys really need to debate about something else. How can you argue over something that is so personal to each individual? If sedan vs. coupe is a valid argument.. then why don't they just make one and not the other? You know why? Because different people have different PREFERENCES.

Look, we just want to know which one is better.

Which one is bettter? Well Sedan, since it's more convenient (easier to access the back seats), it has more space in the back (well, that's valid for the sedans/coupes I have compared), so I would say Sedan is better. Is there any good points in having a coupe (looks aren't really a good points, since it's a matter of taste). But is this reall about which is better? Isn't this more about which do you prefer?

I don't ever plan on buying another car with an even number of doors.

3 or 5 for me :)

"Sedans shouldn't be sedate, they should swoop like a coupe"

4-doors for me, main reason being cheaper insurance...yes I'm a practical guy, hey it saves me money for the ultimate 4-door car, the ///M5 ! It will be mine...oh yes it will!

*snickers off into the corner rubbing his hands together in anticipation* :D

4 door

not only because of the insurance but also because of the extra space in the back

Simple. Sedan, gotta have 4 doors to get the kid in and out of the back seat. I pity my sister in her coupe whenever she watches my son. MUCH easier with a sedan. :)

I have a 2-door coupe ('99 Acura CL) and the thing that annoys me the most is how huge those doors are. I guess they have to be wider to let people climb into the back. The problem is that in order to get in or out of the car, you have to swing the doors out pretty far. I have trouble getting out of the car in some compact parking spaces since I can't open my door wide enough without hitting the next car.

My next car will have >=4 doors.

I love the sportyness of my car with the ease of 4 doors.

4 doors on some cars rocks... (not for all though)

I voted 4 4.
