Hey everyone,

Today I purchased parts for my new rig, here are the specs:

CPU - Intel P4/2.4BGHz 533M
CDRW - 482448|LITE ON
VIDEO - ATIOEM|RADEON 9500PRO 128M DVI
MB - EPOX 4PEA+
CASE - ANTEC 1080AMG
HD - WD 100GB Special Edition

This is my first system build and I have a couple of questions setting it up:

1. I want 2 partitions in my hd (OS and Other), how large should I make the OS partition?

2. What steps should I follow in installing hardware, bios upgrades, drivers, etc.

3. Is it necessary to burn in my new system with something like prime95? If so, for how many hours?

I would also appreciate any other tips or hints, thanks guys.

2. What steps should I follow in installing hardware, bios upgrades, drivers, etc.
on this I'd go with the OS then sp1 then mobo drivers(shutting down if possible on each point of install ..checking for stability and setting Restore Points ),vid drivers, sound, etc. as for hardware install setup with minimum of vid card, one stick of known good ram..add in cards one at a time checking/setting as you go..BIOS ..some here jump that at the start but I go with what comes with the mobo unless there is a known problem that would cause immediate setup difficulties..gl
