Help setting up dual lcds with nvida 6800

I am trying to set up a dual display with my xfx 6800nu

I want to have my dell2005fpw as the primary monitor with the resolution of 1680x1050

I have my 2001fp to the left of the dell 2005fpw and I want it to have the resolution of 1600x1200

I dont want my desktop streched between the two, I just want to be able to slide like outlook over to the 2001fp.

Is this possible to have it set up this way with two different resolutions?

I cant seem to find the nview wizard in the newest nvida drivers

Thanks for the help

yes its possible to do this, just open display properties and set the resolution for each monitor...the one you want on the left should be #1, and the monitor you want on the right should be #2, and on monitor #2 tell it you want to extend your windows desktop onto this monitor.

I'm away from sc hool now so i have a smaller setup, but I have a 19" CRT as my primary running at 1280x1024, and A 15" LCD i got for free running 1024x768 on the right of it, things don't drag and drop evenly, because of the resolution difference, but it still works.

Two programs will quickly become your best friend....

Powerstrip (for custom resolutions)
and
Ultramon 🙂

windows doesnt show me the 2001fp, i only can see it through the 6800 tab on under the advanced display settings

Should windows be showing me both monitors when i right click properities and select settings on the desktop?

ultramon looks sweet
