Help setting up (360 + LCD + 5.1)

Okay I am a little bit confused about this.
I want to connect my xbox 360 to my 19" HP LCD computer moniter.
I know I use the Xbox 360 VGA connector. I am also trying to hook my 360 up to my 5.1 logitech surround sound (comp speakers), and I am not sure how. Will I need a female RCA to 3.5mm cable?

My logitech speakers hook up to my computer with three little plugs, one pink, one light green, and one black. I don'tsee how I can connect this two the red and white male RCA cables with the [360] VGA connecter.

Besides that, I am not wanting to have to plug in my 360 VGA connector every time I want to play my 360 because I will have my PC's VGA connector plugged in. Swapping is a no no.

Thanks for reading, please help.

Well you can get a converter from radioshack or whatnot that will turn the two RCA into a minijack. The RCA is there because that is what will work with most TV's and Receivers...but that will not do 5.1

In order to do 5.1 you need an optical or digital coaxial output, or multiple RCA outputs. The single Red/White RCA jacks will only do Stereo (2 channel) sound.

YES! Thanks a lot! Now I dont have to go spend $200-$300 on a theater system (even though this logitech system is cheap it works for me)

Now one more thing:
What about swapping the VGA plug every time i switch from my console to using my computer?

You could take care of that with a switch.
A KMV switch like this one would allow you to have two inputs connected to the same monitor and allow you to select which one you want to use at a time.
You could get one that just has the monitor portion and not the audio/keyboard/mouse switching, but I don't know if that would be any cheaper.
