help selecting an LCD Panel

Hi

I'm looking for a new monitor (moving on from a 17" CRT). I intend to get a 21.5, 23 or 24 " screen. Where I live, options are very few, only TN panels available most of them with 1000:1 contrast ratio. SOme of the models are:

Dell ST2410L
ASUS MS 228H
AOC E2240VW
HP 2311x
Philips 226V3LSB
Samsung 23A300B
Samsung S23B300H

The last one is the only one with a different contrast ratio (3000:1 advertised). However, I have no idea about it since I could not find any reviews. Any suggestions as to which among these panels should I go for (and these are the only options that I have).

The Catleap monitor:

"Item location: Seoul, Korea, South

Ships to: Worldwide See shipping location exclusions"

...

Out of the choices in the OP, I think you can't go wrong with Dell.

TN panels are just fine for gaming, maybe not so optimal for movies but if you set it up right it won't pose a problem for movies either.

Honestly all of those are reputable brands (well maybe not AOC so much) so I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I'd say just go to the physical store, since that's where it seems you'll be buying it, and just look at them side by side in comparison.

Agree. These monitors are all in the mediocre end of the spectrum, so pick the one that looks the least mediocre to your eyes.
