do you even need the ctrl? I think if you just hit prt scr, you can paste it elsewhere.

you need to open paint & paste it. You can then save the file anywhere you like.

Alt-printscreen to just get the active window and not the entire screen, IIRC

Do you have one of those Microsoft keyboards? You need a registry hack to actually use the printscreen on those, I swear the day MS makes a product that doesn't suck is the day they make a vacuum. I ditched mine and am very happy with this wireless Logitech combo I now have.

I wanna know this too. I hate getting the screenshot and having half the data gone because of the browser being included in the shot.:|

lol, I have an ms keyboard, yeah. I can do a regular screenshot (I have to turn the F-lock off :roll: ) but the active window shot isn't working, it just does the whole screen.

I screenshot stuff all day with alt-printscreen. It helps enormously with documentation.
