and i am running win2k

please help i am stumped

Sounds like the wrong drivers for your monitor. Anyway you can go back to what you had?

drivers for my monitor?.. i didnt now i needed any.. i have tried using the regular OUT rather then the DVI out with this video card.. and a different monitor and i got the same problem.

i can try another card.. but i want to try to get this new flatscreen to work

do i need special drivers from Nvida to use the DVI out?

thanks

maybe the monitor doesnt support the resolution, have you tried safemode? you say its a flatscreen, is that an LCD flat screen, because for the most part, they support upto 1024x768, and so if you wer running at 1152x864 or 1280x1024, or something a bit higher than that, it might be confused a bit

i havent had a chance to change the resolution at all/
so its runnin in standard VGA mode?

maybe i am missing a step? dont i just install the Detonator drivers.. am i missing anything here?

I had this problem recently too. I was reading somewhere that the GF2 MX400s didnt support the DVI output real well. Something like they had trouble holding the proper frequencys. Like it was said above, make sure that you are using the correct driver for the monitor. That did clear up the problem for me.

all is solved.. i found the gateway drivers.. as this was a gateway refurb monitor/geforce bundle

all is well thanks to all
