I think when you set up the series of questions that are so similar, only being slight variations, you set up the test subject to focus not on the particular new attributes of the hypothetical person, but rather to frame their answers in the context of the previous question. Making separate quizes for each hypothetical person might net you more realistic, honest "trust" reactions from people.
