I downloaded a film video in avi format, which according to its properties, weighs 660 Mb, when I tried to save it to a CD-R, using Nero Expres,s the process is canceled because the program informs that the archive, which this time is described as 1,150 Mb, doesnt fit in the 700 Mb CD-R.-
I dont understand why a 660 Mb file grows to 1.150 Mb and doesnt fit in a 700 Mb CD.-
And in any case, please, which is the solution.-
Thanks

I could copy the file to a CD using the W.Media Player, and can reproduce it in my PC, but it is not recognized by my TV DVD player (it supports Div x).-
Perhaps the avi format can be converted to other one which can be read.-
Thanks

Use Nero Vision a part of Nero which I think is called something else in the older versions. Choose the Make Video CD option and follow the prompts. Don't know if it will fit on a CD. Maybe. You could also edit down the film to make it smaller in size. I edit out the nudiity scenes in a lot of the films that I don't want my young cousins to see especially if they are otherwise good films. Otherwise you have to use a DVD with the DVD make video format in Nero Vision that has about 6 times as much space as a 700mb CD.

Even the older version like Nero 7 is very good at converting avi movies to the CD movie or DVD movie format.
