Actually, I don't even see a single degree of difference when curing period was respected in the following review: http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.p...k=view&id=150&Itemid=62&limit=1&limitstart=12. If you have another proving otherwise, it would be most welcome as I was planning to use AS5 or Shin-Etsu MicroSi G751 as well.
Regards,
If there's not a cooling advantage, why bother with the drawbacks of AS5? I'd go with any of the Aluminum Oxide/Zinc Oxide pastes on that page over AS5 because there's no curing time and you don't have to worry about it shorting something out if it gets in the wrong place... In terms of application, I've used OCZ Freeze, MX2, TIM Consultants T-C Grease 0098, Shin-Etsu MicroSi G751 and AS5 and none of them were difficult to apply. I got about the same temperatures for all of them on my 920 except for the AS5 which was warmer because I didn't allow it the 200 hours to cure.
