Just purchased a 58" Samsung 58A550 Plasma. Delivery set for Friday. I'm looking for a good movie to showcase this bad boy. What would you recommend? Criteria are:

-Must have stunning visuals of course
-Must also be a good movie. The point of this is to showcase the screen but the movie itself has to be watchable too.
-Must be Blu-Ray

The Matrix comes to mind of course but I've seen that too many times. Any recommendations?

Edit Saw Pan's Labyrinth on BD. Seen it before but still an amazing movie. At first I was a bit disappointed by the TVs performance with my older cable box (even in HD) but I've since tweaked a few things and after watching the movie wow!! Amazing colour saturation, sharpness, everything!

Also I'm not much of a fan of the emo-ness of the movie but I saw The Nightmare Before Christmas in Blu-ray and DAMN is all I can say. Looked like one of the best Blu-ray movies I've ever seen.

AVS Forum has a nice list of blu ray titles and rates their picture quality. From the top tier some titles I like that I've seen recently include Kung Fu Panda, Cars, Man on Fire, I, Robot, Kill Bill: Vol 1-2, Live Free or Die Hard...

Posted this before about my other purchase but I'll go again.

I was making about 28,000/yr before, last few months I've been bumped up to about $35,000, and when I get the managers position I should be making about 40-41k/yr.

Live at home with parents.
Don't have any expenses.
Have $60,000 in savings in GICs and savings account for school and the future.
No car
No rent

I've spent about 10,000 bucks over the past 4 years or so on toys (that including this screen). Sounds like a lot but compared to what I would have spent over the same time period for rend and say a car it's not really. $28,000 for rent over 4 years or more and if I had a car maybe close to another $10,000 for that. Instead all of this and more has gone into savings.

So year I buy expensive shit on a small income but I save a shit load more than most on my type of income.

?? Had to look that up. Empire Strikes Back you mean?

In Blu-Ray released it has not.

That and the whole Star Wars franchise died when GL brought out the prequels, not that the originals were that amazing to begin with.

If you like older films, The Searchers.

Yes I like older films but not a great fan of Westerns. Not in Blu-Ray anyway. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Cars, absolutely amazing looking in HD.

One of the few Pixar films I haven't seen. But I have the feeling it's not my kind of CG film (most types are) looks more geared to children?

If that doesn't call for a lifetime ban, I don't know what does.
