on a gigabyte ga 8iex and a p4 2.0a, as soon as I it o/c and that the p4 exceed 2,2 ghz (110 * 20) , I cannot reboot the PC (dos or Windows 98se) !

The screen is black !

I am obliged to shutdown the PC and restart it manuelly if i want reboot the pc.

Wit a o/c 2,5 ghz (125* 20), the pc is ok, it run very fine without error (51° in load with 2,5 ghz 1.725 voltage)

PCI and agp are fixed by bios at 33/66.

An idea?

Chip stabl at 2.5ghz???

Temps look fine, vcore looks ok...I am not seeing the problem!!!;)

Run it at 2.5ghz if it is stable and chalk it up to quirky mobos...I can tell this issue could be time consuming....

All other settings in bios stayed the same??? Mem ratio and timings exactly the same?

No, it is not the Window protection error- cannot init NDIS.vxd.

I hit with that problems and it cannot o/c from 2.2 onwards. If he can o/c to 2.5 and is OK, this should not be the problem.

I am having a P4 2.0A also. O/c to 2.67 (133 fsb, all auto, vcore 1.525 only :) ), running sandra cpu burn make it to 52C max.
retail hsf, Very stable.

why not o/c higher??
