HELP!!! Radeon 32mb ddr doesn't work with latest Drivers and unreal tournament

I installed the latest drivers on new systems (both WIN 98SE and ME 2 different times). They had nothing on them only the drivers. When i restarted my comp, they didn't work. I uninstalled it in safe mode and restarted the comp. I installed the drivers that came with my card (4.12.3044). I installed and ran Unreal tournament with DIRECTX. It showed the movie then went to the game screen. I went into practice mode. Played for 2 seconds then my comp stalled. I restarted. When i got back, i adjusted the settings (Start>Control Panel>Display>settings>advanced). I got back into unreal tournament and played in practice mode again. I had more game time, but ended the same way. Is it because of the ddr memory? HELP!!!

I just found out that the new cards dont work with the older motherboards with the MVP3 chipset.

Are you sure that it's not those outdated video drivers?
