Help ! Quick Math conundrum

Ok, I admit I'm a math idiot. Was hoping a math wiz out there could solve this in a blink.

I hope I describe this right.

Looking for 3 percentages: __% + __% + __% = 100%

First chunk is: 3.75 parts

Second chunk is: 3 parts

Third chunk is: 2 parts

I know if all parts where equal they would be 33.33 %
I just can't seem to get my head around what way to split/redistribute the 3 parts.

(BTW, this is liquid related =o) )

Help !!

add em up, this becomes your denominator for each fraction, then convert each to %

for instance, the first one is 3.75 / 8.75 = ?

3.75x+3x+2x=100 solve for x then just put it back in for 3.75x 3x and 2x? too lazy to actually try and see if this will work though

100 * 3.75/8.75 = first percent
100 * 3/8.75 = second percent
100 * 2/8.75 = third percent

Incase typing it out helps you.

Wow, that was fast.
Thank you,

for taking a moment to post.

I see now that 8.75 being my total.....each individual part is going up against that. Correct?
I think what was throwing me off was the 100% I was trying to put in too early in the equation. (?)
Anyhow... thank you all, you rock.

Oh FYI, the liquid in question is an experimental cold fusion element that.....

LOL..... kidding.

Actually I'm just splitting a Tea concentrate I brewed .....into 3 containers. Gonna dump it into 1 container first then split it 3 ways via the percentages found. Then adding water to top up each container....and...wah laa! Whole LOTTA ICE TEA ready to be chilled / poured over Ice.

anyhow, Thank you again.

cheers.
