I drive a 2005 Cadillac CTS . My check engine light started blinking then stopped. A couple days later My car started making a noise, when I press the gas pedal it seems to get worse then when just on and sitting. When it is on and sitting a strong smell of gas starts . What could be the issue ??

You should post this in the garage forum. Might have a dead cylinder, and raw gas is being sent out the exhaust.
 
Why register with Anandtech as a new member just to post about a Cadillac problem? There are actual Cadillac discussion forums out there.
