Help, Problem when adding ram

so i had my computer overclocked, e4300 at 3ghz , with 2x1gb gskill pc6400 ddr2 800 , and i got a couple of sticks that i put on my system (for a total of 4x1gb).
windows xp started ok then crashed when the desktop started loading.
i removed the extra 2x1 gb sticks and now it doesnt work with the old setting.

i would like to reset the oc that i did , but i really dont know how.

my mb is a gygabyte 965p ds3 rev 1.3?(somehow i never see this version anywhere)

You should clear your CMOS memory and not try OCing until you've read up on it much more.
Seriously, you should not be overclocking. :roll: You should be reading.

i did my overclocking like 5 months ago , this time , i only tried to add the ram.
im not surprised the 4 gig setup didnt work , i just dont know how , my old setup 2x1gb stopped working , if i didnt changed anything on the bios

Clearing CMOS should solve your problem with your old 2X1 gb. It does seems however that your motherboard doesn't react very well with all the slots occupied, so try getting 2X2048. I wanted to take the same upgrade this month, but seeing that a lot of people have problems with 4X1gb, I'll better wait until I can buy 2x2048.

Bring your CPU back down to stock speeds, and only then add the extra 2 sticks.

If you still have problems, increase the Northbridge/FSB voltage, and keep increasing it until you are stable. Watch the temps, and add a fan to the NB if necessary.

Once you've gotten it stable at stock speeds, try to get your OC back, but gradually, checking stability (Orthos for 20 minutes should suffice) at every step.

You might never be able to get your "old" overclock back, so be ready.

thats exactly what i went for , the odd thing is that even with my previous set up , the windows crash is there.ONCE , i managed to load windows right, i think it might have something to do with the programs that load at start up.
