HELP!! Problem w/ SB Live Value Digital

I just bought an SB Live Value of somebody on this board. The card detects properly and installs, but after it finishes installing the drivers, it outputs a continuous pulsing ticking noise. I can change the volume of the pulse and still play mp3's, but the pulse never stops. I have tried several PCI slots and I do not have any IRQ conflicts. I also have the latest drivers. Anybody have any ideas?
