Help printer choice

Hi,

Need help for printer choice :

I am hesitating between some All in one printers models :

Hp Deskjet 3510

Hp Deskjet 3520

Canon MX 420

Canon MX 515

Hp office jet.

I am searching for more reliability as possible.

Can you help me in my choice ?

For fax option, is it important to have 2 lines for the phone ?

I have only one line for the phone at home.

is it better to have a officejet model ?

Is it better to have ink cartridges XL type ?

Is it better to have individually ink cartridges for the colors ?

Is it too long to have 10 feet usb cable ?

I've found that the Lexmark s315 or s415 can't be beat. Take a look.

Yes, unless you're willing to make sure you print at least a page or two every few days, if you don't print a lot, laser is much better than inkjet. Since you mention color, though, I'll point out if you want just a single printer to do everything and you need high-quality output, you'd probably have to spend pretty serious money to get an AIO with a "good" color laser printer...

As to the number of phone lines for faxing, it's totally irrelevant as far as functionality is concerned, but of course if you use the fax machine a lot, especially to receive faxes sent without prior notice, it would be a major PITA to have it sharing a voice line... Fax machines/software can be set to re-dial automatically until they get through, but you'll annoy a lot of potential callers who'll frequently end up getting a busy signal (and if they're business-related callers, will probably end up giving up, to your detriment...)

Do you actually print colour? If not laser is a better choice. Look at the Brother multi function ones. some are duplex printing and have document feeder for the scanner if you need that feature.
