It should work fine. It may require a BIOS update to recognize the 2nd core, but other than that, no worries. You should be all set!

Ok check bios revisions and saw this ....

Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4400+ revE6(110W Socket939) ALL
1010

Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4400+ revE6(89W Socket939) ALL
1015.005

Does that mean i might have an issue if i plug in my cpu before flashing it ? Sorry complety nooby question.

Basically will i be ok to boot up install drivers and then install flash ?

I have read that if i did not have dual core enabled orignally windows might not take advantage of it so i might be a whole new reinstall ?

Cheers

I'd prep a floppy disc witht he most recent BIOS up to put on the mobo as soon as you get it hooked up....and if you decide its too much work, and want to get trid of the 4400+, I'd be happy to give it a new home!

EDIT: It WILL boot....just may be unstable or something....like I said, flash ASAP.
