Help Plz - Using DreamWeaver 4 - thumbnails linked to large photos

I'm using Macromedia's Dreamweaver 4. I am trying to link some of the small thumbnails to larger photos. However the photos that they are linked to are HUGE and fill up more than the whole screen. I tried doing the following but it doesn't work. Can anyone steer me in the proper direction? Thanks.

I don't think the 640 by 480 is working it appears to come up on the screen as 1600 by 1200.

You need to make the picture smaller.

That's what I was afraid of. So there is no way to link a thumbnail to a large picture but just display it smaller huh? I was hoping to keep the larger file size for downloading by not making it so huge for display. But thanks for clarifying it for me.

This is what I would do:


1. Make a copy of the pictures in the size you want to display.

2. Make a new page with just that pic on the page.

3. Make it so if you click on that image you will being up the full size version.
