Hello....I rescently updated my OS to XP Pro, which made my EZ CD not work....so I got Nero, and when I try to burn, I get the following error message:

:48:19 PM #92 mmc -400 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1394
SCSI Target error

5:48:19 PM #93 TRANSFER -27 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1394
Could not perform start of Disc At Once

5:48:19 PM #94 Phase 34 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1436
Simulation failed at 8x (1,200 KB/s)

5:48:19 PM #95 Text 0 File Scsicmd.cpp, Line 371
SCSI not using temporary buffers
20 out of 20 temporary buffers allocated

Any help would be much appreciated!!! I am confused by Nero, cuase I've never used it before!!! I noticed that it is saying SCSI Target error......and my drives NOT SCSI!!! Might that have anything to do with it???

TIA AGAIN!

How come your Ez CD didnt work. What version do you have? With Nero you have to purge EZ-CD from
your system. That means the registry entries and everything.

I was running EZ-CD 4.02. Unfortunatley it doesn't work with XP...Only version 5!!! And there is not going to be any support (at least according to the Roxio site) for any versions prior to 5 with XP. I liked EZ-CD, but right now I don't have the $$ to fork out for version 5!!!

Did you uninstall EZCD before putting Nero on it?
I'm guessing it's something to do with the ASPI layer
that EZCD installs.
Probably some leftover trash.
:frown:

If the above doesn't work, try the following:

1) Download the XP fix for CD-ROM burners (its on the microsuck website somewhere, or you can get to it by doing a "windows update)

2) Change the CD-ROM to PIO mode instead of DMA

Got the problem fixed.....got rid of Nero and installed EZ-CD 5! Now I burn again with no prob!!!

thanks for all the input!
