I'm selling my old P1 233. Gave it a fresh format&install.

Before I found my 3 year old driver floppy of my generic clone soundcard I tried SB16 driver that came with win95. Now after installing the cards own drivers (found the floppy finally somewhere)
On start up, Windows keeps telling me it can't find its SB16 drivers. DAMN anoying.

How do I get rid of that ????

Thx in advance

When is Windows telling you this? On bootup? If so try removing the SB from Device Manager and reboot. If it prompts you for drivers use your floppy. If that doesn't work remove it from Device Manager and shut down. Physically remove the card from the PC and reboot. Shut down again and insert the SB back in the system. Reboot and when prompted for drivers use your floppy. Hope that helps!

Its not a SB card but a compatible. There is no other card in the device manager then the one I'm using. Think there is a sounblaster driver still in one of the registers or ini files, but I can't find one.

On boot up windows tells me Soundblaster driver warning: Can't find MSSBLST.VXD
and then once more telling me to check hardware setup. Meanwhile the generic soundcard is working just fine.
